About Me

My journey to journalism

I first interacted with journalism my sophomore year of high school when I led a walkout that landed me on the cover of the school's news magazine. Two years later, I was that publication's Editor-in-Chief.

I was drawn to journalism because of its ability to platform diverse voices and make a positive impact on the communities it serves.

After several years in organizing and advocacy, my passion pivoted to journalism.

My work

My work is at the intersection of news, technology, business and innovation. I'm passionate about reaching emerging news consumers and helping them build habits around digital products.

I love exploring ways to make journalism sustainable and have experience researching and strategizing for newsletters, SEO, push alerts and social media. I want to leave journalism better than I found it, not only for the next generation of journalists, but for the communities they will serve.

My skills

I'm a change maker, problem solver, leader and innovator.

I think big-picture and see large-scale projects through from ideation to execution. I'm good at identifying and communicating challenges and taking steps to solve them.

I'm a thoughtful, empathetic and confident leader with experience translating across disciplines.

My personal life

I was born in Florida but spent most of my childhood in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Moving around gave me lots of different places to call home.

Outside of work, I love hikes, spontaneous coffee runs, trivia nights and watching women's sports.
